The Food and Wine Republic, an international network of independent public relations agencies specializing in food, wine, and hospitality, has expanded its global reach this autumn by welcoming four new member agencies. The additions come from Spain, Denmark, South Africa, and Australia, further strengthening the network’s presence across four continents: Europe, North America, Africa, and Oceania.
Founded in 2019 and based in Amsterdam, the Food and Wine Republic was created to connect brands, regions, and appellations of origin with specialized PR expertise for international marketing and communication. The network is made up of agencies that are fully independent and deeply rooted in their local food and wine industries. Each agency brings a background in journalism, public relations, digital communication, and event management. Their shared goal is to help brands reach consumers through storytelling and media engagement.
The new Spanish member is PCATS Comunicació, a Barcelona-based agency with more than two decades of experience in gastronomy, wine, tourism, and agri-food systems. PCATS offers a wide range of services including communication strategy, press office management, content production, digital marketing, SEO, graphic design, branding, event organization, product launches, and in-store activations. The team is composed of professionals with backgrounds in journalism and digital communication.
From Denmark, Winelab Agency joins the network with a focus on event planning and production both domestically and internationally. Winelab is known for its biannual Winemarket event in Aarhus. This independent wine fair attracts up to 1,100 participants and about 20 wine importers each edition. The event features rotating themes that highlight specific wine regions or countries.
Fivestar PR from Cape Town represents South Africa in the network. This boutique consultancy specializes in strategic PR and digital content for luxury travel and hospitality brands. Fivestar PR offers services such as media relations, video production, blogging, SEO optimization, and social media content creation. The agency has built a reputation for its work with high-end clients in the hospitality sector.
Australia’s new representative is Grapevine, a leading communications agency for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands. Grapevine focuses on social media management, influencer relations, digital marketing strategies, content creation, experiential events, retail media campaigns, and public relations initiatives. The agency supports FMCG brands with tailored campaigns designed to engage consumers across multiple platforms.
The Food and Wine Republic was established to address the need for specialized PR agencies that understand the unique language of food and wine marketing. In many countries, only a handful of agencies possess the expertise required to connect producers with consumers through targeted media outreach and professional networks. By uniting these agencies under one umbrella organization, the Food and Wine Republic aims to safeguard industry knowledge while fostering long-term international partnerships.
Each member agency is selected for its proven track record in food and wine public relations as well as its deep understanding of local markets. The network allows brands to coordinate international campaigns through a domestic lead agency that manages local partners in each country. This approach ensures cultural relevance and effective communication across borders.
