On Monday, June 30, 2025, the Postillion Hotel in Amsterdam will host the first edition of Amsterdam Uncorked, a new wine fair designed for both professionals and consumers. The event is organized by Pitch PR and responds to a growing demand from both established and emerging wine regions seeking to showcase their products in the Netherlands. The fair aims to bring together winemakers, importers, retailers, sommeliers, chefs, buyers, journalists, and wine enthusiasts for a day of tasting and networking.
The program begins at 11:00 a.m., when doors open exclusively to wine professionals. Throughout the day, attendees will have the chance to meet with 75 winemakers and brands representing a wide range of regions. Notable participants include producers from Alsace such as Domaine Paul Ginglinger and Dopff Au Moulin; Bordeaux estates like Château Roquefort and Château Batailley; South African wineries including Boland Kelder and La Motte; Italian producers from Veneto, Puglia, and Lombardy; as well as 30 wineries from Spain’s Ribera del Duero, Moldovan winemakers, and several Dutch producers.
Master of Wine Cees van Casteren will officially open the event with a ceremony followed by a panel discussion focused on current topics in the wine industry. Throughout the day, several masterclasses will be available for professionals on a walk-in basis. These sessions will cover subjects such as Alsace wines, Moldovan wines, and high-altitude wines from Ribera del Duero. The final schedule for these classes is expected to be announced soon.
At 6:00 p.m., the event opens its doors to consumers. For an entry fee of €10 (which includes four tokens redeemable for tasting glasses of wine), wine lovers can explore offerings from all participating regions. The evening program centers on “Best of Ribera del Duero,” led by Dutch wine writer Harold Hamersma. Attendees can join three short masterclasses and take part in a blind tasting to help select the Top 10 Best of Ribera del Duero.
Amsterdam Uncorked was created in response to feedback from both producers and professionals who face busy schedules filled with tastings and trade fairs. By consolidating multiple regions into one event, organizers hope to create an efficient platform for networking and discovery. The event expects around 150 attendees.
Registration is now open for both professionals (free admission) and consumers (ticketed). More information about the event, including registration details and updates on masterclass schedules, can be found at amsterdamuncorked.nl.
