ENÓTECNICA & OLITÉCNICA 2026 to Unite Iberian Wine and Olive Oil Sectors in Porto

From January 21 to 23, 2026, the Exponor – Feira Internacional do Porto in Matosinhos, near Porto, Portugal, will host ENÓTECNICA & OLITÉCNICA 2026. This event is set to bring together professionals from the wine and olive oil industries across the Iberian Peninsula. Organizers expect the fair to become a central meeting point for sharing knowledge, exploring new trends, and creating business opportunities in these sectors.

The event’s theme, “A Toast to Business,” reflects its focus on both human and professional connections. The format is designed to encourage direct contact among all parts of the value chain, from producers to distributors. Attendees will have access to a wide range of activities, including an exhibition of advanced agricultural machinery, business-to-business meetings, professional tastings, and technical seminars.

ENÓTECNICA & OLITÉCNICA 2026 will feature a comprehensive technical program that addresses current challenges facing the wine and olive oil industries. One of the main topics on January 21 will be innovation and sustainability in vineyards and olive groves. Experts from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) will discuss how research and technology are transforming these fields. The session will cover genetic preservation, the use of drones for crop management, soil health strategies, and water optimization.

On January 22, another session titled “Viticulture in Transition: Sustainability, Innovation and Adaptation to Climate Change” will take place. Specialists from FCUP / GreenUPorto and other research groups will analyze environmental challenges and innovative strategies needed to ensure the viability and quality of wine production. Speakers include engineer Alexander Cornejo Pino, Dr. Natacha Fontes from GMAGRIM, and researcher António Teixeira.

Also on January 22, a panel called “Vineyard and Olive Grove: A Heritage for Competitiveness” will examine how tradition, innovation, and sustainability can boost competitiveness in these sectors. Moderated by Manuel Malfeito Ferreira, an expert in wine microbiology and consumer behavior, this session will include contributions from Suzana Ferreira-Dias (LET laboratory), Liliana Perestrelo (NATURALFA), Francisco Carvalho (agri-food sustainability consultant), Nuno Rodrigues (olive oil expert), and Joaquim Miguel Costa (sustainable viticulture specialist).

The event aims to provide more than just an exhibition space. It offers a platform for reflection on major industry challenges such as climate change, sustainability needs, and market evolution. For many professionals—farmers, producers, wineries, distributors, consultants, and equipment suppliers—ENÓTECNICA & OLITÉCNICA 2026 is expected to be a key opportunity for networking and forming strategic alliances.

The fair is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Entry is free until January 20; after that date tickets cost €7 online or €15 at the Exponor ticket office. Organizers hope that this gathering will help drive innovation and collaboration in two industries that balance deep-rooted tradition with ongoing change.
