Gold and silver medals highlight the winery’s tradition and quality in Italy’s renowned Conegliano Valdobbiadene region

Follador Prosecco dal 1769, a winery based in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene region of Italy, has received two major awards at the 2025 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. The competition, which is recognized as one of the most important international wine contests, took place this year with thousands of wines submitted from more than 50 countries. A panel of international experts, including oenologists, sommeliers, journalists, and buyers, judged the entries through blind tastings.

The Follador winery earned a Gold Medal for its Torri di Credazzo Cru Millesimato Extra Dry 2024 and a Silver Medal for its Nani dei Berti Rive di Col San Martino Millesimato Brut 2024. Both wines are produced in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene area, which is known for its Prosecco Superiore and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These awards highlight the winery’s ongoing commitment to quality and tradition.

Cristina Follador, Sales and Marketing Director for the company, said that these recognitions confirm Follador’s position as a reference point in the world of Prosecco Superiore. She emphasized that the awards reflect the dedication and passion that have guided the family-run business for generations.

Follador Prosecco dal 1769 is one of the oldest producers in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG denomination. The winery is managed by siblings Michele, Cristina, Emanuela, and Francesca Follador, who are direct descendants of the Berti family line. The company produces about 1.5 million bottles annually and combines traditional winemaking methods with modern technology.

The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles was established in 1994 and has become a key event for wine producers seeking international recognition. Wines are evaluated to provide consumers with an independent guarantee of quality. This year’s results reinforce Follador’s reputation as a leading name in Italian sparkling wine production. The awards also draw attention to the Conegliano Valdobbiadene region’s role as a center for high-quality Prosecco.
