The 26th edition of Muscats du Monde will take place on July 8 and 9 in France, bringing together 230 wine samples from 24 countries in what organizers describe as the largest concentration of Muscat wines in the competition’s history.
The international tasting event, which focuses on wines made from Muscat grapes, is expected to draw 100 expert judges from around the world. Organizers said the lineup reflects a geographic spread not previously reached by the competition, underscoring the grape’s reach across established and emerging wine regions.
Producers interested in entering the competition have until June 5, 2026, to register their samples. The event’s website lists registration materials, shipping information and judge applications for those taking part in the annual tasting.
Muscats du Monde has become a reference point for producers working with Muscat varieties, a family of grapes known for aromatic wines that range from dry to sweet and still to sparkling. The competition is held in France and has grown steadily as more countries have entered wines for evaluation.
This year’s edition comes as Muscat wines continue to occupy a niche but durable place in global wine markets, with producers using the grape’s natural fragrance and versatility to appeal to consumers looking for lighter, more aromatic styles.
