Vinetur wine festival returns to Amsterdam with tastings, music and outdoor events in Rembrandtpark

From May 28 to June 1, the Rembrandtpark in Amsterdam will host Amsterdam Wine Festival, a wine-focused event taking place during the Ascension Day weekend. Organizers are currently in the final days of their pre-sale campaign, offering discounted tickets and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine upon entry. After the pre-sale ends, ticket prices will increase and the welcome drink offer will no longer be available.

Amsterdam Wine Festival is expected to attract wine lovers from across the Netherlands and beyond. The event will feature a wide selection of wines, including Champagne, which remains one of the highlights for many visitors. Educational segments about winemaking processes are also part of the program. One such topic includes how Champagne gets its bubbles—through a second fermentation in the bottle, where added sugar and yeast create carbon dioxide. This traditional method, known as méthode champenoise, also involves a process called riddling, where bottles are slowly rotated to collect sediment in the neck before it is frozen and removed.

The festival aims to combine wine tasting with outdoor leisure in one of Amsterdam’s most popular parks. In addition to wine, attendees can expect food pairings, live music, and opportunities to meet producers and sommeliers. The event is designed for both casual drinkers and serious enthusiasts.

Tickets are currently available for €16.50 during the pre-sale period, down from the regular price of €23.50. Organizers encourage early purchase to take advantage of the lower price and free welcome drink. The event is open daily throughout the five-day weekend, with different programming each day.

Amsterdam Wine Festival has become a recurring event in Amsterdam’s cultural calendar, drawing attention for its relaxed atmosphere and curated selection of wines. This year’s edition continues that tradition while offering new experiences for returning guests. The Rembrandtpark location provides ample space for tastings and socializing in an open-air setting.

With only a few days left before prices rise, organizers are urging interested visitors to secure their tickets soon. The combination of wine education, tasting opportunities, and outdoor enjoyment makes Amsterdam Wine Festival a notable option for those spending the holiday weekend in Amsterdam.
