Lazio Wines to Shine at Vinitaly 2025 with Expanded Exhibition Space

The Vinitaly event in Verona is set to showcase wines from the Lazio region, with 62 exhibitors and a 20% increase in exhibition space compared to the previous year. The 57th edition of this wine fair will take place from April 6 to 9, 2025, at Veronafiere. The Lazio region's participation is supported by Arsial, the Regional Agency for Agricultural Development and Innovation. Details of Lazio's involvement were shared at the Rome Chamber of Commerce, attended by key figures such as Francesco Rocca, the regional agriculture assessor Giancarlo Righini, Arsial's commissioner Massimiliano Raffa, and Veronafiere's president Federico Bricolo.

Under the theme "Lazio Monumental Taste," the region will feature 59 wineries and three protection consortia: Roma Doc, Cesanese del Piglio Docg, and Frascati. Additionally, two brands specializing in distillation will be present. The Lazio pavilion will cover 2,450 square meters, marking a significant expansion from the previous year. President Rocca expressed optimism about the increased space and investment, highlighting the importance of showcasing Lazio's wines in Verona.

The rise in exhibitors is seen as a testament to the quality of Lazio's wines, according to assessor Righini. He emphasized the success of promotional efforts, which have boosted the region's reputation both nationally and internationally. Lorenzo Tagliavanti, president of the Rome Chamber of Commerce, noted that Lazio has 18,000 hectares of vineyards, with over 60% dedicated to denomination wines. This reflects the commitment of local producers to enhance the quality and visibility of their wines.
