ProWein Düsseldorf 2026 to Host 4,000 Exhibitors from Over 60 Countries with 30 Percent Shorter Walking Distances

ProWein Düsseldorf is preparing to bring together the global drinks industry from March 15 to 17, 2026. The event, which has become a central meeting point for wine and spirits professionals, will take place at Messe Düsseldorf and is expected to host around 4,000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries. Organizers say this year’s edition marks the beginning of a new era for the trade fair, with a focus on innovation and future-oriented business.

Frank Schindler, director of ProWein Düsseldorf, said the event’s guiding principles for 2026 are “shape, create, elevate.” He explained that the goal is to encourage the industry to adopt a bold and creative approach as it looks ahead. One of the most significant changes this year is a new hall concept. Exhibitors will be grouped in Halls 1 through 7 according to their country of origin. This new layout is designed to improve visibility for all participants and make navigation easier for visitors. Organizers estimate that walking distances will be reduced by about 30 percent compared to previous years.

Feedback from exhibitors about these changes has been positive, according to Schindler. Planning for the event is nearly complete, and promotional activities are underway. Many in the drinks sector have already started booking meetings and making arrangements to attend.

ProWein Düsseldorf 2026 will also introduce several new features aimed at redefining what a trade fair can offer. The ProWein Agora will serve as the social center of the fair, hosting keynote speeches, panel discussions, and presentations on trends and innovations in the industry. This area is intended to foster discussion about future challenges and opportunities.

The rise of alcohol-free beverages will be addressed through ProWein Zero, a dedicated hub for no- and low-alcohol wines, spirits, and cocktails. Attendees can expect interactive tastings and presentations from international leaders in this growing segment. Another highlight is ProWein Sparkling Visions in Hall 4, which will showcase sparkling wines such as Prosecco, Champagne, sekt, and Cava.

Sustainability remains a key theme at this year’s event. ProWein Organic Visions in Hall 1 will bring together producers of organic, biodynamic, and sustainably made wines from around the world. The spirits sector is also expanding its presence at ProWein Düsseldorf. For the first time, ProSpirits will occupy two full halls with 500 exhibitors representing more than 50 countries.

To help connect exhibitors with buyers more effectively, ProWein Düsseldorf 2026 has launched a Hosted Buyers & Concierge Programme. This initiative aims to attract top international buyers from major markets. The event will also feature an improved product database and a redesigned matchmaking tool called Fair Match to facilitate business connections.

Organizers are working to make the show more convenient for visitors by expanding hotel booking options with exclusive discounts. Beyond the exhibition halls, ProWein City Vibes will bring wine and spirits events into Düsseldorf each evening during the fair. These gatherings are designed to create a lively atmosphere where professionals and enthusiasts can meet throughout the city.

Schindler said that these changes are intended not only to enhance the experience for attendees but also to provide lasting value for the industry as it adapts to new trends and challenges. He noted that further innovations are planned for future editions of ProWein Düsseldorf.

Tickets for ProWein Düsseldorf 2026 are now available online starting at €20 (about $24). Organizers expect strong attendance as interest grows in both traditional and emerging segments of the global drinks market.
