Scarpetta, the acclaimed Italian restaurant born in New York, is set to open its first location in Spain as part of a licensing agreement between LDV Hospitality and Pont Hospitality. The launch marks the beginning of Scarpetta's expansion in the Spanish market and will debut inside the Madrid Edition Hotel in May 2025.

The restaurant, currently in a soft opening phase, will offer a contemporary take on Italian cuisine, combining refined execution with a design-forward ambiance. Scarpetta Madrid aims to reflect the same culinary philosophy and elevated atmosphere that have defined its identity in major cities such as New York, Las Vegas, Rome and Doha.

The agreement was formalized by John Meadow, founder and president of LDV Hospitality, as part of a broader strategy by Pont Hospitality to introduce international gastronomic brands to Spain. The firm focuses on experiential hospitality and has positioned itself to bring high-end food and beverage concepts into luxury hotel environments.

Francisco Arocha, CEO of Pont Hospitality, said the arrival of Scarpetta in Madrid signals the company's intent to offer globally respected culinary experiences within the Spanish hotel industry. Arocha emphasized the alignment between Scarpetta's New York roots and the cultural lifestyle of Madrid.

John Meadow said the partnership reflects LDV Hospitality's confidence in Pont Hospitality's ability to maintain the brand's standards of design, service and culinary quality in a new market.

Scarpetta Madrid will serve as the first of several planned openings in Spain, with additional locations already under consideration in other major cities. The collaboration is part of a growing portfolio of projects led by Pont Hospitality, which also includes partnerships with Richard Sandoval Hospitality, Juvia Group, Novecento, and chefs such as Paco Ruano and Lorena Garcia.
