Harrison Ford Brings Festive Flair to Glenmorangie’s Holiday Campaign in Santa Hat and Kilt

Harrison Ford has appeared in a new holiday message for Glenmorangie, the Highland single malt Scotch whisky. The campaign, released today on social media, features Ford wearing a Santa hat and a kilt. The video continues the story from “Once Upon a Time in Scotland,” a campaign directed by Joel Edgerton that debuted in January 2025. In that series, Ford reluctantly filmed an ad for Glenmorangie before being won over by the brand’s craftsmanship, people, and whisky.

The holiday message is available to watch on Glenmorangie’s Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook accounts, as well as on the company’s website. The campaign aims to bring a lighthearted and festive spirit to the brand’s image during the holiday season.

Glenmorangie is known for its single malt whiskies, particularly “The Original.” This expression has been produced for more than 180 years and is considered the foundation of the distillery’s range. The whisky is made in Scotland’s tallest stills and aged for 12 years in bourbon casks. According to the distillery, this process gives The Original its smooth character and layers of flavor, including notes of orange, honey, vanilla, and peach.

The Original is bottled at 40% ABV and has a bright gold color. Its aroma combines citrus and ripe peaches with vanilla. On the palate, vanilla leads to floral fruit flavors. Glenmorangie’s team of whisky makers uses five key ingredients—wood, water, barley, yeast, and time—to create their single malts. Led by Dr. Bill Lumsden, Director of Whisky Creation, the team focuses on developing new flavors while maintaining traditional methods.

Glenmorangie’s approach includes using tall stills to allow more flavor development in the spirit. The distillery has built its reputation over nearly two centuries by balancing innovation with respect for tradition.

The new holiday campaign with Harrison Ford is part of Glenmorangie’s ongoing effort to connect with consumers through storytelling and personality-driven marketing. By featuring a well-known actor in a playful setting, the brand hopes to reach both longtime fans and new audiences during the festive season.
