The Amsterdam Wine Festival is set to return from September 5 to 7, 2025, with a new location at Amstelpark. Organizers have announced that this edition will mark the first time the festival celebrates the traditional harvest festivities in a park setting. The event comes as summer draws to a close in Amsterdam, offering visitors one of the last opportunities to enjoy the city’s warm weather while sampling wines outdoors.
This year’s festival will feature more than 250 wines from across the Northern Hemisphere. Attendees can expect a wide range of activities, including live music performances, DJ sets, and food pairings designed to complement the wines on offer. Educational workshops will be available for those interested in learning more about wine, and there will be a grape-stomping competition for guests looking for a hands-on experience.
The festival’s partners include several well-known wine importers and producers. VINVIN Wines, which imports from over 50 independent wineries with a focus on organic and biodynamic production, will represent France with its Bon Vivant label. ONWINE will showcase selections from Northern Italy, Germany, and Austria, featuring wines sourced directly from small producers in regions such as Piemonte, Pfalz, and Valpolicella.
Sherry wines will also have a prominent presence at the event. Visitors can taste different styles including Manzanilla, Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso, Cream, and Pedro Ximénez. Organizers highlight sherry’s versatility and its popularity among chefs and sommeliers worldwide.
The Italian wine house Piccini will present wines from Chianti Classico and Sicily, reflecting four generations of family tradition since its founding in 1882. Another highlight is the Premium Wines by Gall bar, where guests can discover Zonin—Italy’s largest wine producer with seven generations of history—and Fantini, known for its innovative collaborations with local farmers in southern Italy.
Tickets are currently available at a presale price of €15, which includes an Amsterdam Wine Festival glass and a complimentary welcome drink. Organizers report that tickets are selling quickly as the presale period comes to an end.
The Amsterdam Wine Festival aims to bring together wine enthusiasts, industry professionals, and casual visitors for a weekend of tasting and celebration. The event is open to groups of friends, families, colleagues, or couples looking to experience the atmosphere of harvest season in one of Amsterdam’s greenest parks.
