Champagne Bollinger has announced that His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom has granted the Maison the Royal Warrant, officially designating it as a supplier to the Royal Household. This marks 140 years of continuous service to the British monarchy.

Champagne Bollinger first entered the British market in 1858 through Ludwig Mentzendorff, a London-based wine merchant who partnered with Jacques Bollinger, the founder of the House. Mentzendorff introduced the champagne to Queen Victoria, who was so impressed that she awarded the first Royal Warrant to the Maison in 1884. Since then, Bollinger has held the distinction under every reigning monarch.

The announcement of the Royal Warrant by King Charles III coincides with the 140th anniversary of Bollinger's uninterrupted recognition as a royal supplier. To date, it remains the only champagne house to hold this prestigious honor with such longevity.

Etienne Bizot, Chairman and CEO of the Bollinger Group, expressed his pride in the renewed designation, stating, "It is an immense privilege to receive the Royal Warrant once again. It holds a special significance this year, as it marks 140 years since Queen Victoria first granted this distinction to the Maison in 1884. Displaying this honor on every bottle of Champagne Bollinger is a source of great pride for us."

To celebrate this milestone and honor its legacy, Champagne Bollinger has announced an initiative aimed at promoting craftsmanship. Partnering with The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST), a charitable organization under the patronage of King Charles III that supports talented artisans, the Maison will launch a craftsmanship competition in 2025. The competition will invite QEST scholars to design a bespoke piece to be displayed in Bollinger's new boutique hotel, currently under development at its historic estate in Aÿ, in the Champagne region of France. This initiative underscores the Maison's commitment to artisanal excellence, a hallmark of its nearly 200-year history.
