IWINETC Organizers Unveil International Food Tourism Conference Set for Spain in 2026

The International Wine Tourism Conference (IWINETC) wrapped up its 17th annual event in Kraków–Małopolska, Poland, from March 23 to 25, 2026. The conference brought together more than 140 delegates representing 26 countries, reinforcing its reputation as a leading global gathering for professionals in wine and culinary tourism. Attendees included representatives from both established and emerging wine tourism destinations, who came to share ideas, develop business strategies, and form new partnerships.

The event featured a two-day program of talks focused on industry trends, professional development, and the future of wine and culinary tourism. A central part of the conference was the Wine Tourism Exhibition & B2B Workshop, which enabled approximately 550 pre-scheduled meetings between buyers and suppliers. This structured environment allowed participants to establish commercial relationships and explore collaboration opportunities.

Networking played a significant role throughout the conference. Delegates took part in experiential activities designed to showcase the Małopolska region’s offerings while strengthening international connections within the sector. Organizers emphasized that these experiences were key to fostering meaningful engagement among attendees.

Building on the momentum of this year’s event, IWINETC organizers announced the launch of a new initiative: the International Food Tourism Conference (IFOODTC). The first edition of IFOODTC is scheduled for November 9–10, 2026, in Cambrils, Spain. The new conference will focus specifically on food and culinary tourism, using the same format that has made IWINETC successful—combining conference sessions with B2B meetings and networking opportunities.

IFOODTC aims to serve as an international platform for knowledge exchange and business development within the growing food tourism sector. Organizers expect participation from a wide range of professionals, including conference delegates, exhibitors, agents, workshop participants, and speakers. The goal is to expand the global community that has formed around IWINETC by providing a dedicated space for those working in gastronomy-focused tourism.

The announcement reflects ongoing growth in both wine and food tourism worldwide. Industry stakeholders see these conferences as important venues for staying informed about market trends and building relationships that drive business forward. More information about IFOODTC can be found on its official website.

IWINETC continues to position itself as a central meeting point for wine and culinary tourism professionals seeking to share expertise and foster international cooperation. With the addition of IFOODTC later this year, organizers are responding to increased demand for specialized forums that address the evolving needs of the global food tourism industry.
