Amsterdam Wine Festival Announces 2026 Return With Focus on Southern Hemisphere Wines

The Amsterdam Wine Festival will return to the Kromhouthal from March 26 to March 29, 2026. The event brings together wine enthusiasts and professionals in a festive setting in the north of Amsterdam. This year, organizers have introduced group tickets, allowing visitors to buy five tickets for the price of four. The offer is aimed at friends, colleagues, and anyone interested in sharing the experience.

The festival has also opened registration for its masterclasses. These short, practical sessions are designed to help participants expand their knowledge about wines, wine regions, and wineries. Attendees will learn how to select the right wine for classic dishes, cheeses, or seafood such as oysters. The focus of this edition is on wines from the Southern Hemisphere. More than 300 wines from Argentina, Chile, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand will be available for tasting. Each bar at the festival will reflect the culture and lifestyle of its country, giving visitors a chance to compare and enjoy the differences between regions.

Alongside wine tastings, the festival will feature a wide range of food trucks offering various cuisines. Live music and activities such as traditional grape stomping are also planned. The event is open to both beginners and experienced wine lovers who want to deepen their understanding of wine.

One highlight among the masterclasses is a session dedicated to Bodegas Salentein from Argentina’s Uco Valley. This region is known for its high altitude, cool nights, and significant temperature differences between day and night. These conditions lead to slow grape ripening and precise vineyard management. During the festival, Salentein will have its own space where visitors can taste some of its top wines, including Numina and Single Vineyards labels. The tasting will be organized as a “wine flight,” allowing guests to sample four different Salentein wines side by side. This setup helps participants understand how grape variety, origin, and winemaking process affect the final product.

Tickets and the full program are now available on the official festival website. Organizers recommend booking early to secure spots in the masterclasses and take advantage of group promotions. The Amsterdam Wine Festival continues to attract both local and international visitors looking for a comprehensive wine experience in one of Europe’s most vibrant cities.
