In a statement shared with Vinetur, the renowned Amsterdam Wine Festival has announced a significant change for its 2025 edition. According to a statement shared with Vinetur, the event will move to the Central Markthal, a historic venue known for its culinary heritage in the heart of Amsterdam. This year's festival will take place over two consecutive weekends, from March 28 to 30 and April 4 to 6. The relocation is due to renovations at the Gashouder, the festival's usual venue, and presents an opportunity to expand its wine offerings and attract a larger audience.

The festival will highlight the wine richness of the Southern Hemisphere, featuring wineries from Argentina, Chile, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Peru, and Brazil. Attendees can savor a diverse range of wines, from Argentina's Malbecs and Chile's Carmenères to New Zealand's fresh Sauvignon Blancs and Australia's Shiraz. The event will also showcase lesser-known wines from Peru and innovative sparkling wines from Brazil.

With extended hours, visitors will have ample time to explore the festival's offerings. Doors will open on Fridays from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM, while on Saturdays and Sundays, the event will run from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM on Saturdays and until 10:00 PM on Sundays. Admission will be free for children under 12, though alcohol consumption will be strictly limited to those 18 and older.

The festival has adopted a cashless payment system, allowing attendees to make purchases with debit or credit cards for added convenience. Organizers also encourage groups and companies to reserve personalized spaces. For hygiene reasons, pets will not be allowed, except for medical exemptions.

The Central Markthal's historic ambiance will provide a unique setting for this celebration of Southern Hemisphere wines and cultures. Participating wineries are carefully selecting their finest vintages to ensure a memorable tasting experience. Tickets are available for exclusive pre-sale at promotional prices, making them a perfect last-minute holiday gift.

This relocation underscores the festival's commitment to quality and innovation while embracing the Central Markthal's historic and gastronomic character. The 2025 edition is set to be an unmissable event for wine enthusiasts in Amsterdam.
