JancisRobinson.com has announced two significant appointments aimed at expanding its presence in North America and Asia. The online wine publication, founded by Master of Wine Jancis Robinson in 2000, is bringing on Josh Greene as Trade General Manager and Richard Hemming MW as Editorial Consultant. These hires are part of a strategy to strengthen the site’s influence in two of the world’s most dynamic wine markets.
Josh Greene brings more than forty years of experience in wine publishing to his new role. As the former owner and editor of Wine & Spirits Magazine in the United States, Greene is well known in the American wine industry. At JancisRobinson.com, he will focus on building partnerships with North American trade professionals. His responsibilities include developing educational programs for distributors and retailers, as well as organizing industry events that connect wine professionals with the site’s content and expertise.
Richard Hemming MW, who has been a contributor to JancisRobinson.com since 2008, will now serve as Editorial Consultant for Asia. Hemming became a Master of Wine in 2015 and is currently Head of Wine, Asia Pacific, at 67 Pall Mall in Singapore. In his new position, he will curate tasting reports and market insights tailored to Asian audiences. He will also work to build relationships with importers and sommeliers across the region, adapting the site’s offerings to meet the needs of Asia’s growing wine community.
The appointments come at a time when both North America and Asia are seeing increased interest in wine education and consumption. By adding experienced professionals with deep knowledge of these markets, JancisRobinson.com aims to provide more localized content and support for industry members. The company says these moves will help deliver its independent news, tasting notes, regional reports, and educational resources more effectively to audiences outside its traditional base.
JancisRobinson.com has built a reputation as a trusted source for wine information since its launch. Its team includes contributors from around the world, many of whom are Masters of Wine or Master Sommeliers. With these new hires, the site is positioning itself to play a larger role in shaping wine culture and education in both North America and Asia.
