Moët et Chandon has launched a new collection of champagne bottles in collaboration with Pharrell Williams. This follows a trend of champagne houses partnering with international artists, as seen with Nicolas Feuillatte and Mika in late 2024. The collection, unveiled on Saturday, celebrates anniversaries and features designs by the multifaceted American artist, who became the men's creative director at Louis Vuitton in 2023.
The collaboration revives a piece of Moët & Chandon's history by adorning some bottles with a large bow tie decorated with pearls, crafted by the artisans at Atelier Baqué Molinié. This unique decoration is featured on magnum bottles of the Grand Vintage Collection 2003, priced at 950 euros, and the Brut Impérial, priced at 650 euros. The collection also includes 75 cl Brut Impérial bottles, which maintain the traditional paper tie but come in three different colors: blue, red, or gold. These bottles feature a distinctive typography with white writing and pearl-like dots. The collection is available at select retail, gastronomy, and hospitality locations, as well as Moët & Chandon bars in Épernay, Harrods in London, and Kadewe in Berlin, according to LVMH.
A highlight of this collaboration is a series of thirty numbered jeroboams of the Brut Impérial. These three-liter bottles are handcrafted in France and feature a mirrored chrome surface with hand-painted letters by artist Astrid de Chaillé. Each bottle is adorned with 89 raised pearls and a large bow with 7,310 pearls, a piece that took 300 hours to create at the Baqué Molinié workshop. These exclusive bottles are available through Moët Hennessy's private sales service and are priced at 30,000 euros each. This collaboration offers a unique blend of art and luxury, appealing to collectors and champagne enthusiasts alike.
