The 2025 OIV Awards are now open for submissions, offering authors and publishing houses the opportunity to gain international recognition for their work on vine and wine. Applications must be submitted by February 28, 2025. To enter, participants must complete an online form and provide the necessary materials via the official platform.
The registration period began on September 1, 2024, and is open to publications in any language from any country. Eligible submissions include paper or digital books published within the two years prior to registration. No registration fees are required.
For those submitting printed works, six copies must be provided, with all shipping and customs costs covered by the sender. Parcels should be labeled as "sending of working documents" or "gift" with a declared market value of $0 to avoid customs issues. Any customs taxes must be prepaid, as the OIV will not accept parcels requiring additional payment.
Books excluded from eligibility include commercial magazines, guides, websites, interactive tools, lobbying materials, and advertorials. However, a second edition of a previously unawarded book may be submitted if it contains significant updates or revisions.
To ensure timely submission and compliance with the rules, authors and publishers are encouraged to complete their applications promptly.
