Vallepicciola Expands Wine Tourism with New Experiences in Chianti Classico

Vallepicciola, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, is enhancing its wine tourism offerings with two new experiences: the Pinot Noir Experience and the Sunset Picnic. These additions aim to immerse visitors in the rich wine culture of the area. The Pinot Noir Experience is available throughout the year, while the Sunset Picnic can be booked starting May 1.

The Pinot Noir Experience offers a guided tour through the vineyards and the winemaking process. Visitors will learn about Vallepicciola's connection to Pinot Noir and enjoy a tasting of five wines. This experience highlights the unique characteristics of the Pinot Noir grape. The tour includes a visit to the winery, designed by architect Margherita Gozzi, and covers the fermentation hall, barrel room, and sparkling wine area. This two-hour experience is available by reservation for €80 per person.

The Sunset Picnic provides a chance to enjoy the stunning sunsets over the Chianti Classico hills. Guests can relax with a bottle of Vallepicciola wine and a basket of local delicacies, including homemade bread, focaccia, salad, fresh fruit, vegetables, local cheese, and seasonal treats. This two-hour experience is also available by reservation for €65 per person.

These experiences are set within the Fontanelle Estate, owned by the Bolfo family. The estate includes the Vallepicciola winery, The Club House 5*L, and Hotel Le Fontanelle 5*. The estate's dining options, such as Ristorante La Colonna, Osteria Il Tuscanico, and the Michelin-starred Il Visibilio, enhance the overall hospitality experience. Fontanelle Estate is a key destination in the Chianti Classico region.

Vallepicciola offers more than just seasonal activities. Year-round, visitors can enjoy the Discovery Experience, which includes a vineyard and winery tour, followed by a tasting of four wines paired with local cheese, homemade bread, focaccia, and Vallepicciola extra virgin olive oil. The Collectors Experience provides a deeper understanding of the winery's values and production, featuring a tasting of six representative labels.

For adventure enthusiasts, Vallepicciola offers a Wine Safari. Guided by Jeep drivers, guests can explore the estate's 275 hectares, which include 107 hectares of vineyards and 4,000 olive trees. The Wine & Dine experience offers a sensory journey through Tuscan food and wine, with vineyard tours, guided tastings, and sunset aperitifs.

Vallepicciola's offerings celebrate the intersection of wine, art, and culture, making it a premier destination for wine tourism in the Chianti Classico region.
