Snoop Dogg, one of the most recognized figures in hip-hop, has released a new limited edition wine dedicated to the late rapper Tupac Shakur. The wine, named “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted,” marks the 30th anniversary of the hit single released by Snoop Dogg and Tupac in 1996. The launch comes after Snoop Dogg’s recent appearance at the Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, where he participated as an NBC special correspondent and took part in several public events, including carrying the Olympic torch and engaging with fans in Milan.
Snoop Dogg began his journey as a wine producer in 2020 through a partnership with Australian winery 19 Crimes, which is owned by Treasury Wine Estates. His first release, “Snoop Cali Red,” quickly gained popularity and led to an expanded collaboration that now includes several wines under his name. The new limited edition bottle pays tribute to Tupac Shakur, who was killed in a shooting in Las Vegas in 1996 at the age of 25. Tupac remains an influential figure in music and culture, and his friendship with Snoop Dogg was well known during the 1990s.
The label design for “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted” draws inspiration from Snoop Dogg and Tupac’s appearance at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards. It features a handwritten dedication from Snoop Dogg himself. In a statement about the release, Snoop Dogg said he could not think of a better way to honor Tupac’s legacy.
The wine is being produced in limited quantities and is expected to attract both wine enthusiasts and fans of hip-hop culture. Since entering the wine industry, Snoop Dogg has helped bring new attention to celebrity-backed wines, with his previous releases achieving strong sales figures. According to Treasury Wine Estates, sales of Snoop Dogg’s wines have accounted for more than 20% of growth within their 19 Crimes brand portfolio since 2020.
The collaboration between Snoop Dogg and 19 Crimes has been credited with making wine more accessible to younger consumers and those who may not have previously considered purchasing wine. The marketing strategy often includes references to pop culture moments and personal stories from Snoop Dogg’s career.
Distribution for “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted” will be focused on select markets in the United States, with some availability online. Retailers report high demand for previous limited edition releases from Snoop Dogg, suggesting that this tribute to Tupac will likely sell out quickly.
The launch also coincides with renewed interest in Tupac Shakur’s life and music, as documentaries and biographical projects continue to draw large audiences. For many fans, this wine serves as both a collectible item and a way to celebrate the enduring impact of two icons from the world of hip-hop.
