Piper-Heidsieck, one of France’s oldest and most celebrated Champagne houses, will return to the Oscars on March 15, 2026, serving its signature Cuvée Brut at the Academy Awards, Governors Ball, and Academy Museum Gala in Hollywood. The event marks a renewed partnership between the Champagne house and the film industry, continuing a tradition that began with Piper-Heidsieck’s first appearance at the Oscars in 2015 and extended through 2021.
The house’s involvement in cinema dates back even further. Piper-Heidsieck was the first Champagne brand to appear on film in 1933’s “Sons of the Desert” with Laurel and Hardy. Since then, it has featured in more than 300 films and television series worldwide. The brand’s presence at this year’s Oscars underscores its longstanding connection to Hollywood and its ongoing commitment to celebrating artistic achievement.
This year’s festivities also coincide with the 100th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s birth. Monroe, an enduring icon of Hollywood’s golden era, had a well-documented fondness for Piper-Heidsieck, once calling it her favorite Champagne. To honor her centennial, Piper-Heidsieck will launch a series of global tributes, including a limited-edition cuvée inspired by Monroe. The house will also participate in the opening of the Marilyn Monroe Exhibition at the Academy Museum, which runs from May 31, 2026 through February 28, 2027.
Stéphane Decaux, CEO of Piper-Heidsieck, said that attending the Oscars is more than just a moment; it is an embrace of Hollywood’s timeless glamour. He emphasized that every sip of Champagne on the red carpet becomes part of cinema’s legacy. Decaux noted that since its founding in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck, Piper-Heidsieck has aimed to turn every celebration into a spark of joy and every toast into a legacy.
Piper-Heidsieck has built its reputation on craftsmanship and innovation. The house is led by Chief Winemaker Émilien Boutillat, who has guided it since 2018. Under his leadership, Piper-Heidsieck has focused on sustainability and environmental responsibility. The vineyards have held dual VDC (Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne) and HVE (High Environmental Value) certifications since 2015. In 2022, Piper-Heidsieck earned B Corp certification and joined the International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA), reflecting its commitment to sustainable practices.
The house’s Cuvée Brut will be at the center of this year’s Oscar celebrations. Known for its vibrant character and consistent quality, Cuvée Brut is recognized as an emblematic expression of Piper-Heidsieck’s style. The Champagne will be poured not only at the Oscars ceremony but also at related events throughout 2026 and 2027.
Piper-Heidsieck continues to reach Champagne lovers around the world, with bottles opened in more than 80 countries and one bottle reportedly popped every six seconds globally. Its winemakers have received multiple awards over the years, including several “Sparkling Winemaker of the Year” titles from the International Wine Challenge jury.
As Hollywood prepares for its biggest night, Piper-Heidsieck’s return highlights both its historical ties to cinema and its ongoing role in celebrating creativity and achievement on one of entertainment’s most visible stages. The brand’s participation this year is expected to reinforce its image as a symbol of celebration where stories shine brightest—both on screen and off.
