Cavazza Unveils Modernized Cicogna Selection at Major International Wine Fairs in 2026

Cavazza, a historic winery based in Montebello Vicentino, Italy, has started 2026 with a packed international schedule. The winery is focusing on its indigenous grape varieties, new vintages, and a refreshed look for its Cicogna Selection wines. In the first months of the year, Cavazza is participating in major wine trade fairs both in Italy and abroad to showcase its production choices and its connection to the local territory.

From February 9 to 11, Cavazza will be present at Wine Paris 2026, held at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. This event is considered one of the most important gatherings for the global wine market. The 2025 edition saw record attendance from visitors and exhibitors worldwide. At this year’s fair, Cavazza will offer tastings of its latest vintages, including Gambellara Classico, Lessini Durello Spumante Brut Millesimato 2024, and Tai Rosso from the Colli Berici. These wines represent two historic winegrowing areas in the Vicenza province and reflect the winery’s consistent style.

The winery’s international tour continues at ProWein Düsseldorf from March 15 to 17. ProWein is recognized as the world’s leading trade fair for wines and spirits and attracts professionals from across the globe. Cavazza plans to present its full range of wines at this event. Special attention will be given to the new vintage of Bocara Gambellara Classico 2025, which will be previewed exclusively at ProWein. The winery will also highlight recent releases from the Colli Berici area, including red wines from the Cicogna Selection’s 2021 vintage.

A key focus for Cavazza in 2026 is the Cicogna Selection. The line has undergone a label redesign that updates the image of the stork—a symbol long associated with the brand—making it more modern while maintaining its historical roots. This change signals both continuity and a forward-looking vision for the estate as it adapts to evolving tastes and market trends.

Cavazza was founded in 1928 in Montebello Vicentino and is recognized as one of Veneto’s historic wine producers. The winery has built a reputation for cultivating Garganega grapes in the Gambellara Classico DOC, an appellation located on an ancient extinct volcano that gives a unique character to its wines. In the 1980s, Cavazza expanded into a second area: Colli Berici, known for its marine origins and suitability for expressive red wines made from both native varieties like Tai Rosso and international grapes such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Today, Cavazza manages 130 hectares across these two regions and produces about 600,000 bottles annually. The estate holds SQNPI certification, reflecting its commitment to sustainable practices, biodiversity, and renewable energy use. As Cavazza moves through its busy calendar in early 2026, it aims to strengthen its presence in international markets while staying true to its regional heritage and environmental values.
