Amsterdam Wine Festival Draws Surge in Ticket Sales Ahead of Southern Hemisphere Showcase

2026-03-13

Organizers anticipate record crowds as over 200 wines and live entertainment highlight the four-day event at Kromhouthal.

The Amsterdam Wine Festival is set to return to the Kromhouthal from March 26 to March 29, 2026. Organizers report that ticket sales are moving quickly, with only two weeks left before the event begins. The festival will focus on wines from the Southern Hemisphere, offering visitors a chance to taste and discover selections from countries such as New Zealand, South Africa, Brazil, and Chile.

This year’s edition will feature more than 200 wines available for tasting. The event is designed not only for wine enthusiasts but also for groups of friends and colleagues. Organizers are promoting a group discount, allowing five people to attend for the price of four. The festival aims to create a lively atmosphere with food trucks, live music, and entertainment throughout the four days.

On Friday afternoon, the festival will host a special gathering intended as an alternative to traditional after-work drinks. Attendees can sample wines while enjoying culinary offerings inspired by the Southern Hemisphere. Food options will include oysters, wood-fired pizzas, ceviche, homemade tacos, Indonesian rice tables, fries, confit duck, and bavette steak.

Live performances are scheduled across the weekend. Amsterdam-based artist QUIQUE will perform on Saturday, bringing his bilingual Colombian-Dutch music style to the stage. Dutch DJ and producer SAVOY will also appear, known for his energetic sets and recognizable tracks that transition the mood from wine tasting to dancing.

Among the featured wineries is Saint Clair Family Estate from New Zealand. Founded by Neal and Judy Ibbotson in Marlborough in 1978, Saint Clair has become one of New Zealand’s most awarded wineries. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience their wines during the festival.

VINVIN Wines will present three South African wineries this year, including Tesselaarsdal and Genevieve. Tesselaarsdal is recognized for its refined Pinot Noir from the cool Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge region. Genevieve offers a ‘Blanc de Blancs’ Méthode Cap Classique sparkling wine from Botrivier with notes of brioche and citrus.

The New Bunch collective will showcase innovative producers from Brazil and Chile. Highlights include sparkling wines from Mario Geisse in Brazil’s first D.O. region for sparkling wine and coastal wines from Casa Marín in Chile’s Casablanca Valley. The morning mist in this region is said to contribute to the freshness of Casas del Bosque’s wines.

The festival is expected to attract both local residents and international visitors interested in wine culture. Organizers encourage those interested to secure tickets soon due to high demand. More information about tickets and programming can be found on the Amsterdam Wine Festival website or by contacting organizers directly via email.
